April 22nd is Girl Scout Leaders Day. Take a look at the Volunteer Appreciation page on girlscouts.org for more information.
Thank you to all of our wonderful Troop Leaders and Volunteers who help support Girl Scout’s Mission of building GIRLs (Go-Getters, Innovators, Risk-Takers, Leaders) of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. The girls could not do all they do without your assistance, caring, and energy. From attending activities to planning badges and journeys. From the littlest Daisies learning the Girl Scout Promise and Law to the older girl earning their Bronze, Silver, and/or Gold. You are the heart of this Service Unit. You make it possible for them to succeed.
As the Service Unit Lead I have to offer a personal Thank You to the Volunteers who have been planning so many amazing events for the Service Unit this year. Please take a look at all the programming and activities they have scheduled for this spring. Daisies check out Daisy Day during Spring Camporee and Daisy Day at Black Moshannon and the Daisy Scouts Mini Golf Event, Brownies think about working on your Hiker Badge during the All Ages Hike – Fasick Park Nature Trail, Juniors there is still space to work on your Jeweler Badge at Junior Jewelry Making @ The Makery, Cadettes check out the Cadette Trees Badge Workshop. Last but not least come out to the PSU Lacrosse and/or PSU Softball games to spend some time with your Girl Scout sisters cheering on the amazing girls on those teams. We are adding more each week and beginning to look at programming for the Summer and Fall so please contact us with your ideas for great events we can plan together in the future and keep an eye on our events page.
