Are you looking for a take action project for your troop this summer? Or do you just like to garden? Or maybe your daughter likes to play with plants and you have a black thumb…
State College Girl Scouts maintains a plot in the Snetsinger Butterfly Garden in Tudek Park. This plot provides a space for girls (and adults) to try their hand at gardening under the helpful guidance of PSU Master Gardeners. By the end of the summer girls are able to tell the difference between mint, milkweed, beebalm, crown vetch, and more.
On April 14, Brownies from Troop 40170 started all the annual seeds at the butterfly garden greenhouse. As the weather improves, we will be announcing planting dates and building a maintenance schedule.
Any troops interested in participating in the spring planting should contact Troop 40170.
