Old Patches Wanted:
While Festival of Trees 2020 is months away, Troop 41123 has decided to make a garland for the tree(s) next year and we need your help. If you have any leftover fun patches you don’t want any longer please bring them to any Service Unit meeting or give to Michelle Varrassa. These can be any theme, dated or undated. We will string them together and show the community all the fun things we do over the years. Thank you.
Amy Timan has volunteered to accompany Scouts at Juniper Village on Saturday, February 22nd. We can sing some well know songs and some Scout songs too.
Come spend an hour to bring Joy at Juniper! All are welcome but so we have an estimated headcount, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e48abac2aa2f49-valetines
It’s a day off school! Come visit the airport and explore a Life Flight helicopter and a small aircraft. Meet some pilots too.
The event will be March 2nd at 10AM. Please use the event registration for this event: https://www.statecollegegirlscouts.org/events/brownie-airport-tour-2/
Scouts can register as a troop or as an individual- however ratio must be met and parents must stay with their Scout if coming as an individual.
Fun patches for the airport tour can be requested by the Troop Leader by emailing Michelle at mek154@psu.edu by March 4th. Patches are $1.00 each and will be ordered after the event.
We are looking for an adult to be in charge on the day, this means speaking with the airport and checking Scouts in so they know when everyone has arrived and the event can start. Please let Michelle know if you are able to be this adult.
The second annual Me and My Guy Dance will be April 17th at Church of the Good Shepherd. There will be a hot buffet dinner, a DJ for dancing, a photo booth and raffle prizes. Ticket will be on sale in mid- February.
If you’d like to volunteer, please reach out to Michelle (mek154@psu.edu) or Gerrie (gigigoko@gmail.com)
