7:30pm-8:00pm Clean-up

Please consider your troop ratios. This is NOT a drop-off event.
Our expectation is that each troop will create a visual display that can be contained to a singular table. At your troop’s discretion you may offer a food sample, an activity (like a game or craft)or special presentation (music, short play, song, demonstration). Our goal is to make the set-up and clean-up as seamless as possible. Please make sure your presentations can be transported and assembled within our allotted time.
If your troop will need any special accommodations contact kmoneill210@gmail.com. Please have a stamp or stickers available at your display for Scout’s passports.
A SWAP exchange will be part of this event. Each Scout should come with 10-12 SWAPS that represent their country.
For the flag ceremony, we are asking each troop come with a special creation of a flag to represent their country. (optional but recommended)
Each troop will have one table.
A limited number of extension cords are also available.
We will not have access to the kitchen, however food is allowed.
Please label all ingredients so others can check for allergies. If possible, avoid peanuts. Please plan to make food offerings easy to distribute samplings.
We hope to share this event with the PFE community virtually. Troop 40223 will record and photograph this event as a default, however this could be an opportunity for Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, or Ambassadors to create shareable media from this event for a badge. Please let me know if your troop plans to take this opportunity.
Your sign-up will act as an RSVP. We will need to request the number of tables needed for this event and provide an approximate headcount for PFE. Additionally, on the sign up you must list the country your troop will be representing along with the number of Scouts attending. Please sign-up at your earliest convenience.
Deadline for signing up is February 9th .
On the sign up please include in the notes:
Troop number, total attending, and country your troop will represented.
Countries are first come first claimed. We will contact you if you select a duplicate country.

The theme of the 2024 World Thinking Day is “Our World, Our Thriving Future: The Environment and Global Poverty”. With this in mind, you should encourage your troop to consider selecting a country where you can explore the link between poverty and the environment and find out how these problems are even more challenging for girls and women in your community and around the world. Presentations should include how each nation’s environmental footprint and initiatives impact the world economy, and the impact of economics and the environment on their commodities and living conditions. And if possible, include how Girl Guides have addressed these issues.
