Respect Authority

1. Talk about “Gerri’s Story”
2. Visit someone who has authority in your community, such as a police officer, firefighter, or your school principal
3. Practice respecting authority

When I’ve earned my Gerri petal, I will know how to respect authority, just like Gerri the Geranium.

Girls earn their magenta petal when they understand that Girl Scouts Respect Authority. They might listen attentively to a guest speaker and then give their guest a thank you card. They might visit the police station or talk to another authority figure.
