Community 416 will hold a “415-style” troop-based Camporee at Camp Golden Pond the weekend of May 5 – 7, 2017. Troops may volunteer to coordinate a group activity; otherwise, “do your own thing.” Gaga ball, SWAPS station, lawn games, and fishing will be available, as well as a Saturday-evening campfire.
Archery and canoeing will be available depending on weather and instructor availability.
Please note that the Craft House (and traverse wall) and Lower Palmer are currently unavailable. Due to Lower Palmer being closed, camp capacity is reduced. Please register early to ensure your girls have a spot.
Troops who would like to camp in tents should indicate so when registering for camp. There are a limited number of tents available to borrow.
Daisies with an older sibling may attend with their older sister’s troop, provided a registered parent is also staying the night. All other Daisies should register for Daisy Day.
Meals
Troops are responsible for all meals in camp (Saturday breakfast if staying Friday night, Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast). Kitchen facilities are available in all sleeping units (commercial kitchen in Legacy is needed for group dinner and therefore not available for troop use). Please note that multiple troops may share a sleeping unit and will need to coordinate usage of their kitchen.
An optional group dinner will be prepared by camp volunteers and is available for an additional $7 per person. After a troop registers for camp, troop leaders can register for Saturday dinner. Dinner registration must be done in advance.
Registration Instructions
Early registration will be open from February 3rd through March 3rd. Regular registration at an increased rate will be open from March 4th through April 3rd, or until camp is full. Registration is not considered complete until full payment is received and a final roster has been submitted.
To secure the reduced rates for early registration, you must submit a roster and put your payment in the mail before the March 3rd deadline. If, on March 4th, you have not submitted a roster and made payment arrangements your registration will be converted to the regular rates.
Final rosters are due April 3rd. Failure to submit a roster by the deadline will result in your troop’s registration being canceled.
Full payment is due (received – not in the mail) April 10th. If a girl has GoDough available and wishes to use it for this event, indicate girl name and amount to apply in comment section of the registration form, withhold this amount from registration fee sent by camp deadline, and have parent contact Customer Care at GSHPA (before payment deadline) with girl name, amount, and the event for which GoDough will be used.
Please indicate any special accommodations or restrictions in the comment section of the registration form.

Troop Registration
Troop leaders should complete the registration form for the entire troop. Troop leaders will be able to submit the registration form multiple times if needed.
Troops must meet ratio requirements. If a troop is combining with another troop to meet ratios, please note the other troop number in the registration comment. If a group comprises more than one level, they must follow the ratio for the youngest girls. All ratio adults must be GSUSA registered and cleared. At least one adult must be female. At least two adults must be non-related.

Individual Registration
Girls whose troop is not attending must attend with a parent (both girl and parent must register for the event; parent must remain at camp with girl). If staying overnight, the parent must be registered with GSUSA and have all clearances on file. If your troop is attending, your troop leader must complete the registration form.

Who should checks be made payable to for Spring Camporee?
What address should we send to?
Payment instructions should be included in your confirmation email. If you didn’t get an email or it didn’t have instructions, let us know.
Hello! Just about to send an email to my parents with camporee details…what time does everything start on Saturday morning? I am guessing check-in is at 9am like last year and opening flag ceremony starts at 9:30?
Thanks!
That sounds right. We’ll be sending out an email tongiht with the opening/closing time details, packing list, and directions, and camp rules. Thank you for patience!
Yes–we’re working on the schedule now. Be sure to tell parents that girls should have appropriate rain gear (ponchos/raincoats, not umbrellas), as well as a complete change of clothing/shoes — even if it doesn’t rain (which it likely will), they’ll probably get dirty and everyone would be more comfortable on the ride home (if only participating Sat. during day) if they’re in dry/clean clothes and shoes! If staying overnight, 2 changes of clothes recommended…
