While meetings and school are on hold, State College Girl Scouts will be hosting monthly photo challenges! Each challenge will have a different theme.

The girl who submits our favorite photo(s) for each challenge will win $25 in State College Girl Scouts Event Credits for her troop! This credit will be usable for any State College Girl Scouts event through October 1, 2021. Girls can only win once per challenge.

Theme

The theme for August is “Summer Sky”.

Use your imagination to interpret what “Summer Sky” means to you! Capture those amazing cloud bunny shapes, a beautiful sunset, or an invigorating sunrise. What about those multi-hued gray clouds accompanied by a thunderstorm, the bright cracking lights during the storm, or the colorful arch that sometimes forms following those storms? What about the brilliant insects and animals that navigate through the air? How about those amazing stars on clear nights? Did you capture a picture of Comet NEOWISE? What about those loud things that go crack and pop while filling the sky with the most amazing colors as if magic were exploding in the air?! The “Summer Sky” has so much to offer when we take a moment to look a little closer and snap a pic!

Note – photos must NOT include identifiable faces of people.

Since this challenge runs through the end of August, girls will be able to submit up to 5 photographs – one per week which can be submitted weekly or at the same time.
